Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc., a state leader in systems integration, is looking for a full-time Service Sales Representative to join our innovative team at our Ft. Wayne location. If you excel in a challenging environment and are ready to put all your energy toward maintaining and growing sales of solutions and service contracts for Fire Alarm Inspections, Fire Alarm Systems, Nurse Call Systems, Security / CCTV Systems, Sound Systems, Access Control Systems and telecommunications cabling, this position will be a great fit for you. We will count on you to locate, develop, define, negotiate and close business opportunities.

Duties include:

  • Identify customer needs and develop sales strategies to meet their goals
  • Establish contact with potential buyers by scheduling sales calls and following up on leads
  • Develop and maintain a sales strategy to gain the customer’s understanding of our company’s products and services and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Conduct seminars, demonstrations, etc. in order to generate and develop all leads for potential customers
  • Develop and prepare proposals, and perform necessary follow-up for successful closing of sales
  • Interact with customers of all levels, including District Operations Teams or Managers, Maintenance Supervisors and Property Owners to deliver and improve their customer service contracts
  • Deliver sales against an assigned quota
  • Report progress to the Branch Manager on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Participate in special product demonstrations, trade shows, and other events with the goal of increasing sales while maintaining a good company image

Preferred candidate will have:

  • Degree in business, engineering, equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years sales experience in Electronic sales, business-to-business sales or similar experience within industry
  • Ability to quickly identify sales opportunities
  • High degree of self-discipline, motivation and is results and success-driven
  • Experience working with end users
  • Good oral and written communication skills and honest sales techniques
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving history
  • Ability to pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Record check and drug screening
  • Technical background is a plus but NOT required
