For more than 20 years, Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc. has proudly worked with Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis on a variety of projects. When Arsenal Tech decided it was time to replace the intercom system throughout its 71-acre campus, our team put together a phased replacement plan and successfully upgraded the school to a Bogen E7000/Nyquist system.
Arsenal Tech is a treasure trove of history beginning with its construction in 1864. The school’s campus originally served as a U.S. Civil War arsenal from 1864-1903 because it was close to the heart of downtown Indianapolis, but also far enough outside of the city limits that it would not disrupt neighborhoods. Fifteen different commanders and fifty soldiers were stationed at Arsenal Tech throughout its years of operation. After the war, the campus closed for a few years and reopened as a school in 1912.
By implementing updated technology like the Bogen E7000/ Nyquist intercom system — and other systems over the years — educators at Arsenal Tech can quickly and effectively manage campus communications to provide an industry-leading, safe and secure experience for faculty, staff and students.
